The modern version of the traditional broad-based Chemistry degree that has been welcomed and respected by industry and commerce for decades. Covering all the significant areas of Chemistry, it is the most adaptable of the MChem qualifications when it comes to choosing a career.

Entry requirements

Highers: Four passes at ABBC or BBBB including Chemistry, Mathematics and either Physics or Biology or Human Biology. English is preferred as the fourth subject. Alternatively three passes in Chemistry, Mathematics and either Physics or Biology as a group at AAB. Lower grades can be compensated by Advanced Higher passes in relevant subjects.
HNC/CertHE: Chemistry or a closely related subject with substantial content of chemistry and maths. All necessary modules must be passed with a good college reference.
Irish leaving certificate: B passes in 5 subjects including Chemistry, Maths, Physics/Biology and English.
International Baccalaureate: 30 points with HL5 in Chemistry and Maths, plus Physics or Biology.
